George always smiled when greeting you.
I needed him hook up a new TV with DVD-VCR and security cam. He did it all with his electrical knowledge and just wanted a Real McCoy steak sandwich.
I still smile when I think of that time with him

Sharon,
My deepest sympathy for the loss of your husband. I also knew George from grade school at South Side Catholic. May God be with you through this difficult time.

So sorry for your loss. I grew up on Stella street and went to school with George. We had a lot of fun in those days with pickup games of baseball and hoops at the basin. There was a large group of kids the lived on the hill at that time and I can still remember playing hit off the wall (a game with a rubber ball), Red Rover, hide and seek, swimming at 22nd street pool, going to Barcotti's bakery for free samples, etc, etc, etc. Sorry to say we lost touch with each other a long time ago, but I do have fond memories of those early years. It also reminds me of my own mortality since I am also 59. George ways way to young! My Deepest sympathies. Charles Gabriel

I am saddened to hear of George's passing. I grew up and went to school with George on the South Side. Although I have not seen him in many years, he will always be remembered as a cheerful, good-humored, friendly, sociable, and outgoing guy. I am sure he was a GREAT father and husband and will be sorely missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Yanosick family and all those who where close to him during this difficult time.
