Joy Levine Manslow

Joy Levine Manslow, age 67, passed away peacefully at home on October 4, 2025, after nearly a year of battling cancer. Her husband, Dave, was her "rock" every step of the way and was by her side. They recently celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary on September 8th and took a trip to Joy's "happy place", Sedona, AZ. Her only daughter, Jaci, was her pride and joy and her three grandchildren who made her a Bubbie were the love's of her life.
Joy epitomized the word selfless and was often called Mamma Joy because she worried about and took care of everyone. She would make a new friend everywhere she went, talking their ear off until she knew their life story and they hers by the end of the night. Prior to her retirement 6 years ago, she worked at RPS/Fed Ex and ended her career with Fed Ex as an inside sales rep for over 20 years. She loved what she did and her work family very much and was also happy to retire early and do all the things she loved when she wanted. Joy loved going to the casino with her dear friend Diane, lunches with her high school and work friends, her trips to see her beloved youngest sister Hope and trips to visit her daughter and grandkids regularly. She also did volunteer work with the Woman's Auxiliary through the American Legion. She had so many amazing friends and family who loved her and will miss her, and her outgoing, supportive and giving personality, dearly.
Joy is survived by her husband, Dave, daughter Jaclyn "Jaci" (Craig) Hoosier, her grandchildren, Rylie, Caleb and Zoe, her siblings Allen Levine, Judy (Craig) D'Angelo and Hope (Gary) Opachick; her inlaws Frank (Kris) Manslow and Richard (Cindy) Manslow, along with her nieces and nephews, Casey, Drew, Heather, Craig, Frankie, Krista and Melissa, as well as many cousins she remained close to over the years. Preceded in death by her beloved parents, Saul and Gloria Levine. Staying true to her spirit of always thinking about those she loves, Joy requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of her mother, Gloria, at 225 N Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601 or (www.alz.org).
Relatives and friends received Friday, October 10, 2025, from 10 AM until time of Service at 12PM at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, 334 Forest Grove Road, Coraopolis (Kennedy Township) PA 15108. Shiva to follow at the family home. Interment Private.
