Georgia Beligratis

Georgia Beligratis, 92, of Aurora, Illinois earned her angel wings on March 15, 2020. Mrs. Beligratis was born October 20, 1927 in Rizes, Greece to Nicholas and Katherine Theodoropoulos. She was a faithful Greek Orthodox Christian at Saint Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church in Aurora, IL for forty years. Georgia worked at AT&T for twenty-five years, enjoyed cooking, and being with her family. Once reaching America, she persevered despite a number of obstacles and lived to be 92 years of age. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Beligratis; two sons, George and Nicholas Beligratis; her sisters, Toula Karademas, Basiliki Bousanni, Eleftheria Lenakos and Ariadni Pipila and her brother, Demostenes Theodoropoulos. She is survived by her brother, Thomas N. Theodor (Nike T. Theodor); her nieces, Katherine C. Theodor (Tobin L. Roggenbuck) and Christine N. (Theodor) Metrou (Peter N. Metrou); her nephew, Nicholas T. Theodor (Jennifer (Kopp)Theodor), along with her grandnieces Eleni and Alexandra Metrou, and grand nephews Nicholas Metrou, Tommy, Jonny, and Anthony Theodor. She is also survived cousins, Louis Theodor (Mary), Vicki Modlinger and Elias Theodor; her brother, Elias Theodoropoulos (Katina) with numerous nieces and nephews residing in Greece and George Theodoropoulos (Kassiani) family members in Canada. A private family service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020. Donations in her name may be made to Saint Athanasios Greek Orthodox in Aurora, IL.
