John and I commanded an Army missile site together, in 1967-8, but..a few kilometers from the East German border. As both a leader and a friend, he was a man of the first water. This is sad news, but it was certainly a life well lived. Linda darling, Jackie and I are thinking of you. We'll always cherish that time we had together.

Sorry to hear about Johns passing. I worked with John at P&G Mehoopany. A real go getter always with a smile. I also had the pleasure of playing golf with him at Shadowbrook. He was very good and a great competitor. He was missed when he left Tunkhannock and he will be missed now. I'm sure there is a golf course in heaven. I hope to play with him again..

John was a respected member of our P&G engineering family. He was also,a good egg....I set up our Xmas parties for several years and will always remember the year I fixed it so that John won the blow dryer door prize. He handled it well and even joked about it. I will always remember him for his great sense of humor. His passing is a loss for all who knew and loved him. Rest in peace my friend.

Linda and Family,
We are so sorry for your loss and offer our most sincere condolences. When we met in 1995, getting Mike and our son Jim settled into their dorm room, it didn't occur to us that we might still be keeping in touch more than 20 years later. It has been our great good fortune to do so, but like everyone else, we were not prepared to hear of John's diagnosis earlier this year and his passing last week. May he rest in peace and may you be comforted knowing that his was indeed a life well lived. Please know that all of the Borettis are in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Bob and Cathie

Linda and family. The Thatchers spent many happy hours in your home. John's grace and friendship will be missed. He always wore a smile and treated all with great respect and dignity. We will never be able to count the number of lives he touched throughout his life. We are truly blessed to have known him.
Love to you all during this time of grief.

John was my first boss at Procter & Gamble when I joined in 1981. He was principled, thoughtful, encouraging as well as firm and courageous. I could never get him off-track except when I would ask him about the time he pitched for Army against Roger Staubach. He was a remarkable man with a remarkable family, his memory still with me since I last saw him in 1987. God bless John, Peter Olivieri, Navy Class of '76
