To the family of John Troan

My late husband, Henry Daubner, appreciated knowing John and working with him at the Pittsburgh Press. I also had the pleasure of being acquainted with John, and knowing what an interesting, friendly and intelligent person he was.
My deepest sympathy in your loss.

To all the Troan Family,
I had the pleasure of knowing Mr Troan while working during college in the "Morgue" of The Pittsburgh Press. My dad, August Blieszner, worked as Credit Manager at The Press for over 30 years, so The Press folks were like family to so many of us. Mr Troan was always so friendly and it was an honor to know him and work in that area. It was his leadership that made The Press such a quality paper. The mold was broken after him and his devotion to his wife and family are shining examples of what a husband, father and grandfather should be. Sincerest sympathy to all of you in your loss of both of your parents this year.

Sincerely,
MaryAnne Blieszner Kunsman

So sorry to hear of your loss. I am sure you will take comfort in the many memories of your caring and accomplished father, grandfather and great-grandfather. I had the privilege of working at the late, great Pittsburgh Press while John was at the helm, and I look back on that era fondly. Many of us ex-Pressers are grateful that he kept our reunions going for decades afterward. God bless all of you, and may he rest in peace with his dear Varcey.
