Joseph D. Hamm Jr.

Joseph D. Hamm, 49, of Iowa City, Iowa, died Friday, January 31, 2014, at his home. Joseph was born October 2, 1964, in Grant County, IN; son of Joseph D. and Rita J. Hamm. He attended Mississinewa High School and worked at the University of Iowa Hospitals from 1989 – 2013. Prior to coming to Iowa City, Joe served a short time in the U.S. Army. His family includes his father, Joseph Hamm, Sr. of CA; siblings, Dennis Hawkins of Campbell County, WY, Chris Hawkins of Grant County, IN and Lori Hamm of CA; niece, Krystal Hensley and nephews, Jayson and Jacob Hawkins. Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Rita J. Hamm and brother, Jay C. Hawkins. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, Iowa, assisted with cremation services.
