Judith Ann Soplinski, 65, of Weirton passed away Saturday January 14, 2012, at the Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, OH. Born September 1, 1946, in Gassaway, WV, Judy is the daughter of Raymond "Hap" Sizemore of Wintersville, OH, and the late Genevieve "Sue" Malcomb Sizemore. She was also preceded in death by her brother, David Michael Sizemore. Since 1985, Judy owned and operated Judy's Hair Styling. She was an avid bicyclist and bowler. She enjoyed walking, and vacationing in Tennessee. She loved her animals, and birds, especially Pepper and Socks. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. In addition to her father, Judy is survived by her husband, Charles (Chuck) Soplinski of Weirton, WV, two brothers, Steve (Alesha) Sizemore of St. Clairsville, OH, and Joel "Bo" (Beverly) Sizemore of Follansbee, WV; her sister, Jane (Bob) Parrish of Follansbee, WV; a sister in law, Marjean Sizemore of Wintersville, OH; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be 1-3 and 6-8 PM Monday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Tuesday at Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church 200 Preston Avenue Weirton, WV. Rev. Fr. Dean Borgmeyer will preside. Interment will follow at Saint Paul Cemetery, Weirton Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Hancock County Unit PO Box 2166 Weirton, WV 26062. Chuck and Judy's family would like to thank the Valley Hospice nurses and staff for all their support, prayers, and love shown to their beloved Judy.
