Truly sad to hear that Leroy Muehlstein has passed away. My condolences to Linda.
Our friendship goes back many years. Leroy was very interested in our New Ulm Hermann Monument and did visit New Ulm representing the Texas Sons of Hemann in 2009 when the 2000th anniversary of Arminius/Hermann victory over the Romans and their leader Varus in Germany's Teutoberg Forest was commemorated.
The long term outcome of this battle is the existence of our present-day German and English languages.
Had Varus been the victor, present-day German areas would have had their language 'Latinized' like today's French, Spanish and Italian.
The board of directors and members of the Hermann Monument Society join me in expressing our deep sympathy to Linda Muehlstein and family.

Leroy was a wonderful person, always friendly & helpful. We used to speak to him often when he had the Butcher Shop. A talented guy, we will miss him.

Dear Linda and Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Leroy's passing. He was absolutely without a doubt one of the best men to have ever lived. We were so blessed to have been associated with him all these years. He will be greatly missed by all. We are not sure if we will get over to see all of you but rest assured you are in our prayers. May God bless.

Linda, Scott, Glenn and Bobby,
So sorry to hear this news. Hopefully we will all meet up again in Heaven. Your husband and father was a great great man whom was always very nice to me and my family. Leroy always made it a point to say hi and visit even when he really did not have the time. I am sure Leona and Javier along with Dad are waiting for his arrival.
Sincerely, Malcolm and Jennifer Stratemann
