I only knew Norm for about a couple months in late spring early summer 1981 when I was in Santa Cruz working at Identronix doing some computer programming for a prototype of the ten digit transponder. He was a very friendly helpful and outgoing man. As a fellow sailor he invited me out on his sailboat on several occasions. I particularly remember the Wednesday night "rabbit start" sailboat races in which Norm's boat was the rabbit. My duty before the start of the race was to sit up on the stern rail of the boat and call out the course which Norm had selected for that nights race to the other boats using a megaphone. The rest of the race I was ballast moving from one side of the boat to the other depending on tack and sipping on a margarita, fond memories. My condolences to the Lezin family and especially to Matt whom I also met back then.

From Tenma (one of Margret s care giver); i got to be announced of Norman's passing as i was nostalgic of Margret and searching her name on google! I then found Norman's orbitury and got to discover their respective incredible life!

Our condolences to the Lezin family on your loss. I have so many fond memories of Norm both on the water and off. I remember someone asking him about the Wednesday night races and he said, "In Santa Cruz, we take our laid back very seriously." Classic.

My deepest condolences to the Lezin family. I remember Mr. Lezin always having a great smile and involvement in the community of Santa Cruz. His life changed and transformed lives and made a huge difference in my hometown. May his legacy and memory be etched in the hearts of family, friends, and our beloved community.

So many great memories of Norman.
Working at Salz was really the best job I ever had.
He taught me how to sail over 30 years ago.
Walking the streets of Paris late at night along with Margie looking for an open restaurant or just a bar.
