Orville was my Godfather. Several years ago I went to his house
& asked him about his clocks. He showed me all of the clocks
that he had restored. I will always remember his very deep voice and that he was very kind to me. When I was growing up he & my Godmother Marge lived close to me on Crosby St. I would walk past the house on the way to Maude E Johnson School. They had a cocker spaniel dog who was trained very well. I remember that he & Marge would take trips to Colorado and go X-country skiing. His wife Marge knit me a sweater & a vest. I still have a cutting board that she painted with a Scandinavian design. I am very happy to have had Orville as my Godfather.

My uncle Orville Jonland was a very kind & gentle soul. Whenever he came to town for the big Jonland Christmas gatherings in Denver he was always so loving and present. So interested in connecting with his family and sharing stories of love and life. I will always remember my left handed, creative & amazing uncle Orville. May his soul be free and at peace ❤

I worked with Orville at Nylint for several years in the toolroom. What a soft spoken, gentle person. He fixed my antique clock for me and it has run good ever since. Quality was always at the top of his list. Rest in peace.
