Paulino Ternora Obituary

Published by Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills on Jan. 3, 2017.
Paulino Ternora, 86, died peacefully in the morning of January 3, 2017 at his home in Hanford, California. Due to a massive stroke in 2003, his health gradually declined. For many years, with the support of his other children and his grandchildren, he was dearly cared for by his daughter Esther. Paulino was born on June 8,1930 in Vigan Illocos Sur, Philippines. He is the son of Andres and Augustina Ternora and is the youngest of five children. He was a Master Electrician and Chief Petty Officer in the Philippine Navy. Before his retirement from the force in 1970, he was a pioneer and a crew on board when the first Philippine Cannon-Class Destroyer (Datu Kalantiaw) was commissioned by the U.S. to the Republic of the Philippines. He continued his passion in the industry and was an Electrical Engineer in Dubai, until he migrated to the United States with his late wife, Rosita Ternora. He was an active church member at the San Jose Seventh Day Adventist Church. He is a pillar of the Ternora clan. His loving and humorous nature will live on among his family and close friends. At the time of his death, he was surrounded by his loving family, who each held his hand and with a heavy heart, said their "Good Bye", "Thank you" and "I Love You" over and over again…
