Di Luigi (1923-2017) Pietro "Pete" Di Luigi Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle Pietro Di Luigi, aged 93, of Homestead Florida, formerly of Broomall, passed away on July 27, 2017, at home surrounded by his family. Pete proudly served in the Italian Army during World War II. Although he was a prisoner of war, he often spoke fondly of his time served in Italy and Germany. After he was honorably discharged, he began his career in the garment industry. He received his diploma from The Professional School of Design in Milano, Italy and became an Italian Master Tailor and Designer. Throughout his career, he established several clothing factories in different parts of Italy. He was President of the Stanley Blacker Industries factory in North Philadelphia for over 25 years until his retirement. He is survived by his loving wife Mayda Di Luigi (Alvarez) and son Berardo P. Di Luigi (Kathy) and granddaughter Christina Di Luigi and by many loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Relatives and Friends are invited to his viewing Friday, August 4th from 9:00 – 10:00 AM at Saint Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA 19008, followed by his funeral mass at 10:00 AM. Burial Service: PRIVATE
