I send my deepest sympathy to Rays family. I served on the Third World Books Board with him, where he was a tremendous help & added so much to our work of spreading literacy locally & globally. Ray will definitely be missed!!!

Ray served on Third World Books Board of Trustees faithfully and diligently as Treasurer. He kept detailed financial records, completed tax forms and other required legal filings, and helped with donor correspondence. He came to us with 40+ years of experience in non profit finance and expertise. We valued the quality and thoroughness of his work and him as a person. We especially enjoyed his sense of humor and quick quips during meetings. We will miss his presence.
Our condolences to his wife Barbara and the rest of his family.

Our loss is with a loving memory of Ray. Had the pleasure of knowing Ray and Barb too, in our work days in Accounting Department at Union Commerce Bank. God Bless the Kappenhagen family at this time.
