WORCESTER - Vasken H Gopoyan, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 24,2017 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was 89 years old.
He was born on April 24,1928, the son of the late Levon and Anoush Gopoyan and immigrated to the United States in 1956. Mr. Gopoyan was an active member of the Armenian Holy Trinity Church serving on the Board of Trustees for many years. He was also active in the Men's club of the church. For many years he worked in Construction and Real Estate. In his retirement he took up gardening and loved tending to his vegetable and flower gardens. Vasken also enjoyed trips to the casino and playing cards with friends.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years, Iris (Bogosian) Gopoyan; two sons, Stephen Gopoyan of Holden and Edward Gopoyan of Worcester; his grandchildren, Benjamin and Emily as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Mr. Gopoyan is predeceased by his brother, Ohannes and his sister, Ankine.
Family and friends will honor, remember and celebrate his life by gathering for a funeral service at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 29th at Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 635 Grove St Worcester. A visiting hour will be held in the church beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Church, 635 Grove St. Worcester MA 01605. To share a memory or leave an online condolence, please sign the guestbook.

I worked with Kenny at Zayres in the 60's and never knew such a kind and friendly person. he was such a gentleman and so honest may he rest in peace. also knew your mom she was a sweetie
