Velda passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019. Velda was a resident of North Carolina at the time of passing. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gerald Sprinkle officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alexander Baptist Church, % Shirley Golden, 1179 Old Hwy #20, Alexander, NC 28701.
