Willie Cants Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 12, 2010.
Willie Manuel Mc Cants, Jr. was born November 25, 1959 to Willie Manuel Mc Cants, Sr. (deceased) and Laura Crenshaw Mc Cants, in Pensacola, Florida. He departed this Earth on March 12, 2010 Affectionately known as "Junior" to some and "Big Will" to others, he grew up in Paterson, New Jersey where he attended public elementary schools and graduated from Eastside High School in 1979. An exceptional athlete, Willie made his mark on the football field, earning many awards and a scholarship to attend college. He elected to enlist in the Armed Services instead, and joined the U.S. Marine Corps. He served his country from 1979 to 1982. On August 19, 2010, Willie married Krystal Sturdivant, starting their life together in upstate New York. Willie "Junior Big Will" Mc Cants enjoyed and touched the lives on many. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Krystal, daughter, SeFia Richardson, mother Laura Mc Cants, brothers Anthony & Christopher, sisters Valerie & Jah'neif , Anthony Jr., Hasan & Jawah, nieces Shimeka, Sha'quana, Laquita & Qaa'dirah, step-sons Ahmad & Aymon, a mother-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and a host of cousins, loved ones and friends. Love Lives On Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on, And cherished memories never fade because a loved one's gone. Those we loved can never be more than a thought a part, Far as long as there in memory, they'll live on in the heart.
