My condolences to the Bechtel family. He was a great teacher. I had the privilege of taking some of his Psych courses at the U of A.

I was sorry to read that Bob had passed away. I had the privilege of being his colleague at the U of A for many years. He was a bright and kind person, always very helpful to students and colleagues. His specialty of environmental psychology added a very interesting dimension to a fairly eclectic department. I sought his advice and expertise many times, and he was always very generous with his time and knowledge. He was a quiet person who did not blow his own horn, but I think he was a real asset to the department.
