Emily Craddock Obituary

Emily Dee Craddock Died on March 27 in Tucson, AZ. Dee was born in Mt. Vernon, IN on September 4, 1917 to Della Fisher Smith and Frank F. Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John Thurman Craddock; brothers, Elwood Smith, Frank Smith, Jr., an infant brother; step-son, Melville and daughter-in-law, Peggy Craddock. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Albert Frank of Tucson, AZ and Deanna and Lonzo Smith of Temple Terrace, FL and grandchildren, Christina, Erwin, Maria Proctor and Cynthia Anne Slagter and step-grandchildren, Lissa, Mark and J.T. Craddock and six great-grandchildren. Dee was a long-time resident of Evansville. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, DAR, Evansville Country Club and life member and past president of St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing the organ, watching old movies and spending time with her beloved Boston Terrier, Moonie and Pug, Lettie. A Mass and Christian Burial were held in Evansville, IN on April 2, 2012. Memorials to Christ the King Catholic Church, 3010 E. Chandler, Evansville, IN 47714. Arrangements by ZEIMER FUNERAL HOME, East Chapel.
