Ms. Faye, even though I haven't known Summer long, and we only got to talk on the phone, I always knew that you were one of a kind. I'm so glad that I did get to see you before you went to Heaven. I'm so glad that I was able to hold your hand and pray with you. I saw people from all walks of life come to visit you and that alone tells me that you must have been some kind of special lady! I'm thankful that my daughter, Maya, got to visit with you. I hope you can see what a positive impact that Summer has had on both of my kids lives. I know exactly why God sent her to me. I know that you are walking streets of gold and have it far better than we have it on this Earth. I hope you've met my daddy so you both can look down on me and Summer and laugh at the silly stuff that we do, like burn ant beds and play with my kids at the park. Thank you for leaving a wonderful impression on this world. You are missed by so many. I promise you that I will always be there for Summer. She has done the same for me and most of her advice begins with, "well mama would say...". Every time I use vinegar I will think of you and I promise, we will never get in the swimming pool during a storm again. Thank you for being you. Love you.

Dearest Ludie:

I am so very, very sorry to read about Faye's passing. I hope that you know how much I truly admired and respected your sister! Faye is really a student who still stands out as the ideal in my mind. Her sense of right and honor was evident when she was a young teenager. I feel that God gave Faye a keen intellect and a sense of honor that so many us will always remember. I hope that all the family will know that there are many whose lives were enriched in knowing and loving Faye. May you feel assured that Faye is in the loving arms of our Father in Heaven.

Much love to all of you.
