Dear Barb and kids,
I'll always remember Dave in the context of Scouting,he was a great Cub leader and enjoyed all the chaos of boys in the woods as well as the monthly Pack meetings. He also knew how to ride herd on unruly parents when he was coaching Jane's soccer team. I had a good laugh listening to him tell about Hawkeye protesters spilling over the freeway in Iowa City during the early 70's. We will all miss him a lot...

Barb and family
I am so at a lose in telling you how sorry I am for the loss of David. H always admired him. I will never forget a comment he made many many years ago. Gail and I happen to be walking from our car to a prayer meeting in downtown St. Paul and David and Barb came alone. As I remember it was in the late fall and the temp was chilly, perhaps freezing. David said with this great smile of his as he walked with only a short sleeve shirt to keep warm, "This is great, we are preparing to do great things for God and what better way than to be in the cold with no coat on".
I also remember the many mornings we waiting at the paper place for those stupid papers but it seemed David always had a great attitude and that smile of his.
God bless you in this difficult time and your entire family is is my prayers.
