William Novak Obituary

Novak - William 73, a longtime resident and businessman from Forest Lake, MN, passed away in his sleep Sunday, Feb. 3rd in Naples, FL. Bill's passion for community and family involved him in many community, civic, and business organizations. His involvement with these groups earned him the respect and admiration that many of us felt for him. While Bill was president of Novak, Pontiac, Buick, GMC in Forest Lake, he also was president of Forest Lake Rotary Club, and sat on the boards of the Youth Service Bureau, Forest Lake Development Corporation, Forest Lake township, United Way and numerous boards involved with Pontiac, Buick and GMC. Bill's family was a large one, encompassing many generations. In his immediate family he is survived by his loving spouse, Gayle Novak; his five children, Jason, Philip (Joann), Paul (Susan), Christopher (Wendy), and Lisa (Paul) Coffman. To this could be added a long list of friends that were family also. Bill's passion for life will be greatly missed. Friends may call from 4-8PM Friday, Feb. 8 at MATTSON FUNERAL HOME, Forest Lake. A funeral service is at 2PM Saturday Feb. 9 at FOREST HILLS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Forest Lake. Memorials to Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 1790 11th St. SE, Forest Lake, MN 55025 Mattson Funeral Home 651-464-3556.
