Michael O'GARA

Age 69, of Denver, CO Originally from St. Paul Passed away unexpectedly on 1-10-16. He attended St. Rose of Lima, Cretin High School and U of M. Preceded in death by parents, John and Edna; sister, Diane. Survived by partner,Jane Patterson; brother, John (Cori); sister, Mary Abel (Dennis); uncles, nephews, and cousins. As a talented singer, writer and guitarist, Michael joined the Stillroven band from Mpls in 1968 where they toured the U.S. He also cut an album in Hollywood in 1975 entitled "Michael O'Gara". His music could also be found under other artist's labels. He resided in CA, settling in Aspen for 20+ years, and most recently Denver. His music was his life and he still sang and played his guitar until his death. He will be missed by some of the "old-timers" who remember those days of protests, acid rock, Vietnam War, flag burning, Woodstock, and LSD. Was the time of the "free spirit".
