I had not heard that Tom passed away. I am so sorry for your loss. I am the niece of his friend Dennis. We spent many holiday dinners with Dennis and Tom, and I always considered Tom my uncle. I loved when Thanksgiving or Christmas dinners were held at their apartment, because they always decorated from the floor to the ceiling and wall to wall!

I was sorry to hear of Tom's death, and regret that his death was probably difficult and painful. I knew Tom in the 1970s, before he started working at St. Thomas. I was glad to see a picture of Tom looking happy and healthy, and that he was remembered for his kindness and helpfulness.

I'm so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. Sharing your sadness as you remember him. I knew Tom from working at St Thomas.
He had great pride in his work and he took good care of us at the coffee shop!
He always had life lessons to teach/share. The students and I enjoyed seeing him, daily. Always with a smile and a little one-liner.
Rest in peace Tom.

Tom's family, I am so very sorry to hear that Tom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and passed away. Every time I ran into Tom on the St Thomas campus he always had a smile on his face and asked how I was doing. Many times he added fun remarks or a joke making my day just a little brighter! Tom was always a happy face in the halls of St. Thomas College over the years we shared there when I was on the faculty. His devotion to his friend Dennis was remarkable as the last years, months, and days rolled by.
We had many interactions over the years. Custodial staff is a KEY to the success of an institution. St. Thomas was lucky to have had him.

For several years, Tom and I worked in the same building at St. Thomas, and was always ready for a goo conversation! Even when he transferred to another building he made sure that he checked in from time to time and stayed current with all of us. Always positive and thoughtful I am sorry.

My condolences for your loss. Tom meant a lot to me. He took such good care of me as a student at St Thomas, always reminding me to include God in my conversations, questions, and path. I returned to St Thomas as a staff, Tom found me, and the friendship continued. I became the Payroll Manager at a very young age and he was very proud. I remember him saying, "Shout it, girl!" and demonstrated what he meant. He never missed an opportunity to tell me and others how proud he was of me, and he never missed an opportunity to remind me to thank God. I'm comforted in knowing that my daily chats with God now include Tom filling Him in on the details. Peace, Annie Hanebuth

Tommy was a good human being. He was a classmate in elementary and high school. He was kind and considerate of his fellow human beings. May you rest in peace.
