Paul Lascelle Obituary

Hooksett - Mr. Paul R. Lascelle, 67, a longtime resident of Hooksett, died Monday, July 20, 2015, at his home with family by his side.

Born in Manchester on Sept. 20, 1947, Paul was the son of Lucien and Lucienne (Gagne) Lascelle. He was a 1965 graduate of Pembroke Academy, earned an associate degree from Concord Technical College and a bachelor's degree from Franklin Pierce College.

He spent 25 years with PSNH, retiring as foreman of the GC&M Division. He had also been employed by Northeast Electronics.

He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, serving seven years, including duty on two submarines, the USS Lapon and the USS Sea Devil. Paul was a member of the Merrill Follansbee American Legion Post No. 37 of Hooksett and the Suncook Valley VFW Post No. 2860.

In true New England fashion, Paul loved sports, especially the Red Sox and the Patriots. He also enjoyed traveling and adored his three grandchildren, Ava, Henri and Wyatt.

Paul is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy (Jodoin) Lascelle of Hooksett; two daughters, Jaime Lascelle and Kimberly Lascelle St. Germain, both of Hooksett; his grandchildren; three siblings, Marcel Lascelle of Concord, Doris McCormack of Barnstead and Jeanine Lavoie of Pembroke; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Matthew, and his sister, Claire.

SERVICES: Calling hours are Thursday, July 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Petit Funeral Home, 167 Main St., in Pembroke. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church in Hooksett. Burial with military honors will take place Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to The Muscular Dystrophy Association, P.O. Box 97075, Washington, DC 20077-7258 or the CRVNA Hospice Program, 30 Pillsbury St., Concord, NH 03301 in appreciation of the devoted and professional care given to Paul and his family during his illness.Petit Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements and offers an online guestbook at petitfuneralhome.com.
