Robin We were so sorry to hear about your beloved Dad's passing. Jeff and I are from Pittsburgh, and we met him at Chownings Tavern in Williamsburg over 25 years ago. As we visited Williamsburg frequently, Olen became our friend.
Olen gave me a Williamsburg figurine who looked like him as Mr.Chowning, and said that he wanted me to have it to always remember him.
Jeff and I will not forget Olen. He was a wonderful person and always spoke highly of you. Our only regret is not seeing him more often.
Our deepest condolences. Sincerely, Marilyn and Jeff

My condolences to the family. When someone we love falls asleep in death the memories we have of them are precious to us. May those cherished memories of a life well lived and God's promise at John 6:40 bring you a measure of comfort.

My teacher from 5th thru 12th grade. He was amazing, he was interested in everything. He listened, he cared. He taught us! Hugs Robin, thank you for sharing your Dad with us. He was/is loved by so many. My deepest sympathy to you in this great loss.

Robin, I am so sorry for your loss. There are so many things I remember about Mr. Lewis and the things he taught about. I still sometimes talk about some of the things I learned in Humanities class, even to this day. Like when we went to visit Hogg Funeral Home as a field trip, and I came home and told Mom and Dad about the casket I had picked out for myself. They were not happy. They thought it was morbid. :) The way he affectionately referred to corn fritters... H.M.S. Pinafore... and a method of identifying how open a person is by how close you can get to them without the person flinching. These are things I will never forget because of him. I am praying for you in your time of loss and hope that your happy memories of your dad will carry you through the days ahead. Love, Kristi

Enjoyed his classes at GHS very much. A great guy and superb teacher, will be missed for sure. Mr. Lewis touched many, and we are thankful.
