Estelle Dunnigan Cade, 89, of Shacklefords, VA, passed away on January 10, 2026. She spent most of her early years in Wicomico and graduated from Gloucester High School. Estelle was a member of Providence Baptist Church, Hayes VA.

Estelle started working at a young age, working in the fields, helping her father and her husband. She worked at Crouch's Store in Adner, delivered newspapers, worked in the cafeteria at West Point Elementary School, and was a mother and caregiver. She loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Paul Cade, Sr.; her parents, Edward and Jemima Dunnigan; her brothers, George, Raymond, Ernest, and Gerald; and her daughter-in-law, Robin Cade.

Estelle is survived by her children, Paul Jr., Mike (Tammy), Scott (Kelly), and Terrilynne; and her sister,

Virginia Boone. She loved and cherished her many grandchildren, Priscilla Gilman, Tonya Hersey (Joe), Matthew Cade (Katalina), Clay Cade (Kathleen), Stephen Taylor (Jordan), Cristin Cade, Thomas Burgess, Raven Gallihugh (Adam); also her great-grandchildren Davey, Philip, Jerry, Linda, Crystal, Maddox, Charlotte, Josephine, Caden, Raleigh, Caroline, Harper, George, Colson, Hallie, Holland; and several great-great-grandchildren. Estelle is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dockside Health and Rehabilitation Center, Riverside Hospice Care Middle Peninsula, Lower King & Queen Fire-EMS, and Dr. Katherine DeVries of TPMG, West Point.

A graveside service will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, January 14th at Providence Baptist Church, 3501 Providence Rd., Hayes, VA 23072.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Lower King & Queen Volunteer Fire-EMS, PO Box 187, Shacklefords, VA 23156, or Riverside Hospice Care Middle Peninsula, 7358 Main Street, Gloucester, VA 23061.
