James “Jim” Earl Cade, 94, of Anderson, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026. He was born on March 18, 1931, in Anderson, to the late Alfred and Marie (Neely) Cade.
Jim graduated from Anderson High School in 1949 and dedicated his career to engineering, working at Delco Remy for 37 years before retiring in 1987.
Jim was an active member of his community, serving as a Boy Scout leader and participating in the Middletown Lions Club and Middletown Masonic Lodge. He had a passion for woodworking, engaging in this hobby throughout his life.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the care givers at Bethany Pointe and Paradigm Health.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Perry (Roberta) Cade of Centennial, CO, and Christina (Tony) Demos of Anderson; grandchildren, Ryan Demos of Lawrence and Lynn (Anthony) Demos-Petrucci of Daniel Island, SC; siblings, Dorothy Watson of Anderson, Barbara Ashley of Anderson, Jane Fleeman of Anderson; sister in law, Donna Cade of Chesterfield; and several other extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife, Faye Cade; his siblings, David Cade, Byron Cade, Kenneth Cade, Jack Cade, Harold Bramblett, Meredith Cade, Bernice Whitlow, Bobby Cade, and Elsie Carter.
Services will be at 2:00pm on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown, with Pastor Tony Darling officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until the time of the service on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Middletown Lions Club.
