Wayne A. Lewis

Wayne A. Lewis, age 69, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa, WI. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30am until the time of service.

He was born on July 22, 1956, in Wisconsin Rapids to Ronald and Betty (Soward) Lewis. Wayne graduated from Nekoosa High School in 1975. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and went on to build a long and dedicated career as a truck driver, working for over 42 years.

On August 14, 1986, Wayne was united in marriage to Penny Brown in San Bernardino, CA. Together, they built a life centered on family, hard work, and simple joys.

Wayne was a man who loved the outdoors and staying busy. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting wood, camping, and working around the house. Known for his resourcefulness, he often was described by family as a "jack of all trades, master of none," a phrase that perfectly captured his willingness to take on any task and help wherever he was needed.

Wayne is lovingly survived by his wife, Penny Lewis; his children, Clarence Lewis and Kevin Lewis; his grandchildren, Mason Lewis and Adalynn Lewis; and his siblings, Ken (Paula) Lewis, and Carol (Carl) Flaig. He was preceded in death by his parents.
