Shirley Worth Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home - Nekoosa on Mar. 9, 2026.
Shirley Jean Worth, age 78, of Nekoosa, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026. Born on November 27, 1947, Shirley was a lifelong resident of the Nekoosa area, where she built a life centered on family, friendship, and unconditional love.

Shirley was the proud and devoted mother of four children: Tammy (Dan) Hellenbrand, Floyd Worth, William Worth, and Julie (Arick) Fry. Raising her children in Nekoosa was one of her greatest joys and proudest accomplishments. Her love for her family was unwavering, and she treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren.

She was a loving grandmother to eight grandchildren: Ashley Hellenbrand; Scarlett and Leona Worth; Jordan, Mariah, and Milly Worth; Trystan and Bryce Fry; and she was overjoyed to welcome her great-grandchild, Alaia Lebbi. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished each visit, hug, and shared memory.

Shirley was known for her heart of gold and her kind, gentle spirit. She loved visiting with friends, sharing stories and laughter, and could often be found enjoying time playing the keno machine. Her warmth and unconditional love touched everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Worth; mother, Eunice Erdman; father, Julius Erdman; sister, Connie Hopp; and lifelong companion, Leon "Chief" Dick.

Shirley is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, and her brother, Earl Erdman, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will deeply miss her kindness and loving presence.

A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa, WI. Burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Nekoosa. A Celebration of Life will follow on Friday from 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Rainbow Casino, Nekoosa, in the banquet hall.

Shirley's legacy of love, compassion, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
