Having known Bev from the early days of the VDJ Society, I valued her friendship and caring, thoughtful ways. Her love of jazz was evident and contagious - on and off the dance floor. My sincere condolences to the family.

Bev was a member of the Vancouver Dixieland Jazz Society since 1997 and a great supporter of Dixieland Jazz. She served on the Board for several years taking on the role as hostess of the Hospitality Room during our festivals and delighting musicians with her home baking. Sparkle Plenty" brought joy and happiness to many; she will be sorely missed and our dance floor dimmed.

The jazz festivals' dance floors will never be the same without our smiling little dynamo. You will stay in my heart and I will miss you terribly, my dear friend. There will be dancing in heaven.

I had know Bev for many years, not as a close friend but as a kindred spirit in our shared enthusiasm for the music we love.
Her smile, her dancing and her positive energy cannot be replaced but fond memories and her contribution to other peoples joy will last forever.
Thank you Bev.

I had known Bev over the years through the jazz festivals we attended up and down the west coast. There wasn't a time she didn't make me laugh. Whether she just stopped by our table to chat, or having coffee on Friday mornings, she always made me smiel . I felt lucky to have spent more time with her this past year. She brought a lot of joy to my life. I will really miss her.

Bev was a true friend for many, many years. We shared a love of trad jazz and, since her move to South Surrey three years ago, met regularly for coffee, walks, movies. Will miss her. A bright spirit gone too soon.
