Margaret Elizabeth Mindlin

Margaret Elizabeth Mindlin June 18, 1925 - November 4, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing our sweet, beautiful mother and grandmother Margaret Elizabeth Mindlin (Belzer) at the age of 90. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband, Howard in 2009. She is survived by her four children, Janice, Kathryn, Mark and Richard. She is further survived by her five grandchildren, Taryn, Lindsay, Derek, Rick Jr. and Blake. She also left behind one sister, Adele and several nieces and nephews, most notable Carolyn and Larry Graves who she was very close to. She lived with Alzheimer's Disease for 20 years, the last 6 which she spent at Renfrew Care Centre where she was lovingly and gently cared for by the nurses and care aides. While she lost the ability to speak in the 5 years of her life, her smile, the twinkle in her eyes and the expression on her face said everything for her. A service will be held at First Memorial, 602 Kingsway, Vancouver on November 21, 2015 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make a donation in Margaret's memory to the Alzheimer's Society of BC.
