Eric Mahan Obituary
Camarillo, CA
Eric Mahan rode off of this Earth in his typical bat outta hell style on Sunday, June 18, 2017. He was 44 years old. The absence of his goofy, crazy, kind soul has left the world dimmer.
Eric is survived by his daughters Brittany Mahan and Mary Mahan, father Roger Mahan, mother Angela Cusolito, wife Amanda Rogers, and a ton of nieces, nephews and in-laws that will forever miss their Uncle Honey. He is also survived by Brittany's mother Shawna Frye, and an extended family of lifelong friends who really wish he would get back here and quit screwing around.
He loved his family, and they loved him. He loved his girls fiercely, they were the shining light of his life. He was everybody's favorite Uncle Honey, and kids would naturally follow this lunatic to the ends of the Earth.
Eric could always be counted on to bring his devilish humor to any situation. His smile and laugh were contagious, frequent, and whole-hearted. He loved music, diesel trucks, Jack Daniel's, Dale Earnhardt (Senior, obviously), his cowboy hat, riding his Harleys, Jeeping, Carhartt overalls, and living life in the fast lane.
To know Eric was to love him, and also generally to want to punch him, just a little. He could always be counted on to be there when he was needed, and anyone who knew him knows he was a true "give you the shirt off of his back" kind of guy. That shirt would probably have been one nobody would want to be seen in anyway, but if you needed it ? it was yours.
Memorial to be held at Freedom Park, Camarillo, July 6th 12-4pm.

Still can't believe when I got the news about Eric's passing. My condolences to Eric's family. He was a great friend. His obituary discribes him well and the kind of guy he was. Last time I saw Eric was a few years ago when he came to Vegas, with his wife and daughter. I'm glad we got to meet up, hang out and have many laughs. I wish I knew then, it would've been the last time I would see him. RIP Brother.

My condolences to Roger and Angela and Eric's family. So sorry to hear of his passing. Though I did not have the privilege of knowing him as an adult I thoroughly enjoyed his company as a child. He was sweet and kind.

My thoughts and prayers are with my Granddaughters Brittany and Mary, and Eric's Dad Roger and his Mother. This is truly so hard...I shouldn't be writing this....I should be telling you this Eric!!! I loved you Eric from the day you kept riding your bicycle back and forth in front of our house on Cartagena St. Once you came inside our house I don't think you ever left!! I was always trying to get you and Jason to try something different to eat, and I would try and trick you, but after once or twice....you didn't trust me any longer....lol. I remember you always loving music....Guns and Roses then...made my head hurt!.....and you making fun of Country Music...and then years later....Wow...you were listening to Counrty!! I have so many memories!!! and I'm so I happy I do! I guess the best memory was when you and Shawna had Brittany although it was touch and go for a while it turned out BEAUTIFUL!! You were an awesome Dad Eric...your relationship with your daughter was an obvious Love Story!! I remember thinking "is that little girl going to ever sleep by herself or learn to walk"? She was always sleeping on your chest.....and I won't mention at 18 months old she was lifting her leg and making fart noises from her mouth.....a cute trick daddy taught her!
Eric you are an amazing person, I will always cherish my memories and Thank You for the greatest gift of all Your Daughter Brittany Nicole Mahan.....always in my heart.
