ROGER M. HEYSQUIERDO

  CORPUS CHRISTI - Roger M. Heysquierdo, 54, of Corpus Christi, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008. He was born July 18, 1954, in Port Lavaca, to Johnny V. Heysquierdo of Port Lavaca and the late Paula Martinez Heysquierdo. He was a retired shrimper and a Catholic.
  He is survived by his father; wife, Diana Salazar Heysquierdo of Port Lavaca; daughters, Rachel B. Heysquierdo (Robert) of Lake Jackson and Angie M. Garcia of Port Lavaca; son, Roy A. Heysquierdo of Corpus Christi; sisters, Beatrice Briones of Victoria, Theresa Guevara, Margaret Heysquierdo, and Ninfa Aseda, all of Port Lavaca, Christina Flores of Kemah, Elizabeth Heysquierdo and Sandra Ruiz, both of Port Lavaca, and Barbara Jean Hernandez of Denver; brothers, Rudy Ramirez, Johnnie Ramirez, Perfecto Heysquierdo, and Chris Heysquierdo, all of Port Lavaca, Richard Heysquierdo of Port St. Luce, Fla., and John Paul Heysquierdo of Port Lavaca; and six grandchildren.
  He was preceded in death by his mother; sister, Emily Castaneda; and brother, Alfred Ramirez.
  Visitation will be after 1 p.m. today, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m., at Artero Memorial Chapels in Port Lavaca. Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Port Lavaca Cemetery.
  Pallbearers: Robert "Bobby" Benivamonde, Ruben Santos Benivamonde, Benny Ramirez, John Paul Heysquierdo, Ruben Heysquierdo, Jesse Castaneda Jr., Johnathan Villarreal, Gustavo Salazar, Anthony Ramsey, and Alvaro "Rocky" Garcia Jr.
  Honorary pallbearers: Ryan Andrew Heysquierdo, Roy Aaron Heysquierdo, Rita Rene Benivamonde, Raven Raquel Benivamonde, Rosalyn Anita Heysquierdo, Alphonso Alvarez, Noe Gustavo Salazar, and Joe Daniel Salazar.
