Mary Shiner Obituary

SHINER, MARY LOU; 62; of New Haven, MI; died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at The Alpena Regional Medical Center. She was born September 7, 1950 in Marine City to Finley and Eleanor Marion (Smith) Gerow. Raised in Marine City, she married John (Jack) Shiner on February 7, 1968, in Kentucky. They were residents of Marine City moving to Ludington in 1973, to Port Huron in 1988 and in 2011 to New Haven. Mary Lou spent her life taking care of her family and she enjoyed rock and roll music. She is survived by her husband; and two daughters, Eleanor Shiner of Anniston, Alabama and Elizabeth (Richard Fouts) Solle of New Haven; one son, Joe (Debra Banks) Shiner of Harrisville; six grandchildren, Alan, Andrea, Tasha, Brittany, Brandy and Lauren; four great grandchildren; three sisters, Betsy (Bill) Owen of Tennessee, Susan (LeRoy) Grabowski, of Marine City and Dorothy of Canada; three brothers, Dan Gerow of Algonac, Al Gerow of Anchor Bay and Hank Gerow of Florida. Private Memorial Services are planned. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.

mary was a wonderful womnan and will be missed by all she was a great mother inlaw had the joy of being part of her life for 16 yrs rip mary will be missed but never forgotten
