Dr. Fleury was my plastic surgeon in the late 1990's! I referred many clients and on occasion would bring small groups to watch him administer botox injections and because of his gracious low-key demeanor would be instilled with confidence to pursue either surgical procedures and/or injections & fillers. Dr. Fleury was a talented surgeons and a stellar demeanor - so much so he is still spoken of in hallowed hushed tones when reflecting on his greatness. Just wanted the family to know he was a bigger-than-life with his very calm low-key persona -- perfection profile characteristics one wants as a surgeon. Respectfully, Karen "KT" Thomas

I was just thinking last week about a fourth of July I spent with Al and Mimi. Others were there but I don't remember who except for Dr and Mrs Fleury, Sr. It was July 4th 1976. We were on Dr. Fleury's boat to watch the fireworks. It was a great night.

I just found out that Dr Fleury has passed. I am so sorry for your loss. He was my plastic surgeon, the only plastic surgeon I ever had. He was the most sensitive, caring and skilled surgeon I ever met and I never wanted to have anyone work on me but him.
I heard he had retired and moved and was saddened by that but glad he was able to take life a bit easier.
Truly a great person! God Bless the family.

Albert was a friend and classmate at both Holy Cross and Georgetown Medical school. We were summer fellows together for two years making text boxes for Proctor Harvey. During those years Al included me in family outings sailing, water skiing, and exploring from the family compound on the South river. Al was generous, kind and fun loving, always with a big smile on his face and a chuckle. It was an important lesson to me, not only learning the ropes around a large sailboat, but also being inclusive with others. It meant a lot to me. So, I remember Al fondly and was saddened to hear of your loss. I simply wanted to express how Al had influenced my life in a meaningful way.

To the entire Fleury family. I am so sorry for your loss. I was good grade school friends with Margie and she always spoke of Al with such pride and love. At that point, I only know of him in the role of older brother. Years later, I was fortunate to get to know Al and work with him in the OR at Sibley. He was such a kind man and a truly talented plastic surgeon. I know he will be greatly missed by you all. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

To the family of Dr. Fleury, we were saddened to hear the news of his passing. I was lector at the vigil Mass at St. Francis Xavier Church in Compton on 7-21-2018 and was reading the general intercessions after the Priest's homily. I stopped momentarily when I saw Albert Fleury, Jr. as deceased. He was a good friend of my father, Don Schaller, who ran the general store that his family frequented. Later, Dr. Fleury approached us at church and offered surgery at cost to correct our oldest son's floppy ears. He was 9 or 10 at the time and the wrath of others had already started. Dr. Fleury performed the surgery and we are eternally grateful to him for his unsolicited offer. This single act of kindness is testament to the Christian faith he lived and practiced. Godspeed, Dr. Fleury. From Bob and Wendy Schaller, and son Bobby Jr. and his family

What was funnier? His jokes or him laughing at his own jokes. Hard to say but I will miss this gentle man; a gentleman. He left us all so much in our shared stories, his caring spirit and his passions for life. I am proud to have worked in his employ for many years.

Oh no! I am very sorry for your loss. I was a HC classmate of Al's. I believe it was Al that introduced me, Dr. Bob Tabacco, Dr. Bob Quinn, and others to sailing in the Virgin Islands out of Avery's Boathouse on St. Thomas back in 1968 and/or 1969. (I believe his parents introduced Al to sailing in the Caribbean when he was a kid) I think I saw Al once since 1970, but I will always fondly remember him as a delightful man with a great sense of humor.

What a great and funny man Al was. We had so much fun commuting to and from Prep and trying to play football--which Al did very well. I cherish my time with him and am very saddened by his passing. My thoughts and love are with Mimi and the family.

My heart and prayers go out to you all: Mimi, Chris, Al III, Joseph and all your families. Although I did not know him well, it was always such a delight to spend time with Al and Mimi. Al was so encouraging when I went to nursing school. He would talk of his trips to Haiti, and I had hoped to go with his group. I pray you all find peace in the time ahead. Love, Nancy R
