Lisa, so sorry to hear of your loss. Like John Covello, I worked with Eric at Weil Gotshal, but our ties go back even further, we were classmates at Georgetown and as freshmen, lived on the same floor, 6th Darnall, where we were known as the Lorna Doones. Eric was not just brilliant as an attorney but was a friendly, dependable great guy. As others have said, he left a lasting impression because of his great character, he will be missed.

Lisa - In updating my contacts, I was stunned to discover that Eric had passed away in 2014. I worked very closely with Eric at the beginning of his law career at Weil, Gotshal and Manges. In addition to be work colleagues, we became very friendly. After I left Weil in 1990 and moved back to New Jersey to go to graduate school, we did stay in touch over the years but it became more infrequent over time as happens with distance. I always found Eric to be an incredibly smart, erudite and genuinely nice and funny person. His booming deep laugh was his trademark. I cannot tell you how sad I am that he left us at such a young age, but I hope over the years you've taken comfort in knowing that he has left a lasting impression on you many. Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. And my God have granted that perpetual light signs on Eric's soul and he have eternal peace.

My deepest condolences to the family. Eric will always occupy a special place in my heart. I studied for the bar with him in 1985 and we became friends. I was at his apartment when I mustered up the courage to call Lindsay Wilson and ask her out on a date -- and we've been married now for over 25 years. Thanks for letting me use your phone, Eric -- I will miss you, but will see you again some day.
