Peter Proctor Obituary

PROCTOR, PETER RAY

Peter Ray Proctor, 92, of Brandywine, MD, died on January 15, 2006, at his home. Born May 7, 1913 in Bel Alton, he was the son of the late William Joseph and Cecila Cora (Linkins) Proctor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Ray Arnold Proctor and one son-in-law Samuel A. Gray, three brothers and two sisters.

He was a Piscataway Indian and a member of the Maryland Indian Heritage Society. He was a professional truck driver for Silver Hill Concrete for 30 years.

Ray is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Gladys; three daughters, Joan, Sondra, and Connie; two son-in-laws, Paul and Pete; one daughter-in-law, Kaye; brother, Purcel; sisters, Kathryn, Edna and Blandie; five sister-in-laws, their husbands and two brother-in-laws. He leaves behind 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services are provided by Lee Funeral Home, Clinton, MD. Visitation will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Brandywine on Thursday, January 19, 2006 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Louis J. Faust will officiate. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
