STEPHEN EISENHAUER Obituary


STEPHEN S. EISENHAUER  Lt. Col. (Ret.)  
Of Winchester, VA died May 1, 2016. He was born in Sheffield, PA. Steve graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1954, where he was a two time All-America football player. He was elected to the Academic All America Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame. Steve had a distinguished career in the U.S. Marine Corps, retiring in 1975. He then served as a civilian consultant working with Naval Air until 1996. Steve is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara; their two children, Susan (Frederick) Kessell and Gregory (Elizabeth) Eisenhauer and two grandchildren.Funeral service will be held at the Naval Academy Chapel, Annapolis, MD on Thursday, May 19 at 1 p.m. Donations may be made to USNA Foundation for the Athletic Excellence Fund, 25 Maryland Ave., Annapolis, MD 21401.

We are deeply saddened to hear of your loss. He was a fantastic man and genuinely kind to me when I visited with my father during a Class of 54 reunion as a youth. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and regret that we can not be present to share in this moment with you. God bless you all.
