BARNES DEBORAH LEE BIGGS BARNES On Monday, March 9, 2009, DEBORAH BARNES, age 51, passed away at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Barnes. Survivors include her mother, Charlotte Biggs of Woodbridge, VA and her son, Samuel Barnes of Dale City, VA; and many friends and relatives. Deborah was a graduate of Woodbridge High School, Class of 1975, and received a Bachelors in English from Virginia Wesleyan College, Norfolk, VA. She also attended Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA and George Mason University pursuing a graduated degree in English. Her working career consisted of 20 years at Kaiser Permanente, three years at Carey Christian Academy, teaching high school English and at the time of her passing, she was employed at Inova Alexandria Hospital. Deborah was a talented writer, loved the theater and music, plus teaching children. Friends and family are invited to celebrate the life of Deborah on Monday, March 16, 2009 at 11 a.m. at MOUNTCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, VA 22193. Reception will follow at the Mountcastle Funeral Home and inurnment will follow the reception at the Aqula Episcopal Church, Route 1, Stafford, VA.
