Herbert Wolfrey Obituary
HERBERT C. WOLFREY, JR.
Herbert Charles Wolfrey, Jr., 80, a resident of Frederick, MD, and formerly of Harrisonburg, VA, passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. He was born in Mt. Clinton, VA on January 25, 1932 and was the son of the late Herbert C. Wolfrey, Sr. and Clementine Tracey Lamb Wolfrey. Mr. Wolfrey served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a truck driver for 36 years for Safeway Grocery Stores. On November 15, 1953 he married Velda Bayse, who preceded him in death on February 7, 2010. He is survived by five children, Danny Wolfrey of Frederick, MD, Stephen Wolfrey of Mount Airy, MD, Yvonne V. Hensley of Vienna, VA; Herbert C. Wolfrey, III of Hagerstown, MD, Keith Wolfrey of Joppa, MD, and 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.The family will receive friends 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, January 29, 2012, at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, January 30, at Cooks Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. George Evans. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
