Just yesterday, I received a parcel in the mail from Mr. Jentz containing a manuscript I had sent to him last summer. I went to Winnipeg and in speaking to John Fedorowicz I learned of Mr. Jentz's death. It was a shock to mr. I knew he was sick, but somehow I hoped he would always be around. For those of us who are students of German WWII tank production a very big void has developed. The Dean of Panzer studies is gone.
My sincerest condolences to the family of a remarkable man.

Tom Jentz was a gentleman and a scholar, always generous with his help to others working in his field. He will be missed. Deepest sympathies to his family. His published works will remain as his memorial.
