LOUIS COUREMBIS Obituary


LOUIS P. COUREMBIS  
Passed away peacefully on July 17, 2017. He was 93. Mr. Courembis was born on May 29, 1924 in Lowell, MA, the youngest child of Peter J. and Argiro (Ianopolos) Courembis. Louis grew up in Washington, DC and joined the Army after high school, serving in World War II. After his military service Louis, alongside his brother, John Courembis and his Uncle, George Courembis, became a successful builder and developer. Louis had a love of ballroom dancing, reading, discussing political issues, art, painting and enjoying a meal with friends at the Metro 29 Diner. Louis is survived by nieces: Stella Moore, Margaret Hartman, Pat Pontes, Carol Copoulos, Barbara Copoulos, Beverly Harden, nephews: John P. Courembis, Peter Michos, and cousin John L. Courembis. A private service is planned for the family.
