Jennie Schwede Obituary
Jennie Lee Schwede, 78, of Wausau, passed away at home on Monday, May 6, 2013. She was born to Louis and Sylvia (Harder) Wadzinski in Wausau on November 26, 1934. Jennie grew up and lived in the area all of her life. She married Morris Schwede on October 31, 1953, in Wausau. She worked at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in the housekeeping department.
Jennie enjoyed being outside, where she could be found fishing or spending time in her garden. She also enjoyed cooking, craft work, sewing, quilting, and flea marketing. Above all, though, she loved her family and loved the times they had together. Morris and Jennie always had a good friend and companion, their dog, Tia.
Jennie is survived by her husband, Morris; son, Michael (Sue) Schwede of Wausau, and grandchildren, Lori and Joe, both of Wausau; daughter, Cynthia (Dale) Sahr of Geneseo, IL, grandchildren, Andy (Mary) Sahr and Leigh (Ryan) Tranel, both of Geneseo, IL, and great-grandchildren, Thomas and Alex, and Garrett; daughter, Susan (Pete) Hanson of Coon Rapids, MN, grandchildren, Jonathon (Val) McCorkle of Coon Rapids, MN, and Beth (Jason) Talbot of Isanti, MN, and great-grandchildren, Samantha and Jacob, and Rebecca; son, David (Patricia) Schwede of Birnamwood, WI, and grandchildren, Jennifer, Cari, and Eric, all of Birnamwood, WI; and son, Jon Schwede (fiancée, Barb Krall) of Wausau, step-grandchildren, Joel Krall and Nicole (Mike) Kersten, both of Wausau, and step-great-grandchildren, Kaile and Levi Kersten.
Private family services will be held.
Helke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
