I met Ed as a roommate while attending Kenosha Tech (1973-75). We became good friends and remained so through the years. I have many fond memories of our friendship. BTW, Scott Justman was also a roommate and a good friend too.

I met Ed when I became his room mate back in 1973. I was starting classes at Kenosha Tech and a room was open at the house across the street from Angelo's flower shop.
What a fantastic room mate and friend.
Ed, you will be missed by all who knew you and were close to you.
May you rest in peace with our Lord Jesus' loving arms around you.
An old friend,
Woody

" I met Ed in about 1980, unbelievable, wow, now almost 40 years ago. We worked together on an FTD commercial he wrote which was very good. I cannot even recount how may great talks I had with Ed over the years out as his house on lake Michigan. I always called it Ed's sanctuary. He was so creative with visual and intellectual art. There aren't many people as truly kind and spiritual as Ed was. He was always there for me when I needed a friend.
My wife Camille and my little boy Aidan, when he was 2 years old, went to visit him about 15 or 16 years ago at the lake and we had a wonderful visit with him. I can still see Ed smiling as my little boy threw rocks into the waves at the lake shore.
Ed was such a spiritual and peaceful soul. He will be greatly missed. I said a prayer for him yesterday and felt his presence. It the first time I cried in a long time. May he truly be blessed by and with all the angelic guides a soul can merit in his transition. I really wanted to do something creative with Ed that became commercially successful, but time did not align that for us in this life. I still have a film script Ed and I collaborated on maybe some day I can do something with those ideas. Ed truly deserved to have his artistic talents appreciated much more than he got credit for. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him was blessed.
God Bless you Ed, you will be greatly missed!
Your friend always, Jeff"

You were a good friend Ed and I am grateful our paths crossed. I learned from you and hopefully you learned from me. I wish you much happiness in your new journey. I sincerely do. When it is time, the Lord will put his arms around my shoulders and lead me home to see you again for projects we never got to finish and new projects we never got to start. I will think of you and miss our friendship every day. I loved you like a brother and am grateful for the friendship we had and the time we shared together.

My deepest condolences to all of Ed's family and friends, I think of him often and fondly, his floral arrangements, his lovely and cozy home on the lake, an easter egg hunt there, sharing our Irish heritage, classes, workshops and retreats. and so much more. Sending so much Light and Love to his beautiful soul as he journeys back to the very heart of God. Bless you dear Ed.
Light and Love also to those he left behind. Such a beautiful obituary too. (Screenplay? Do tell!)
Fondly, Mary Shimandle, Chicago, IL
