Frances Rogers Obituary

Frances T. Rogers Frances T. Rogers ORLEANS Frances T. (Nickerson) Rogers, 92, of Orleans passed away on Monday, Jan. 25, 2010. Frances was born in Boston, Nov. 22, 1917, and lived on the Lower Cape her entire life. She was the wife of the late Francis I. Rogers, who died in 1966, and daughter of the late Arthur W. Nickerson and Fanny (Gill) Nickerson. She was the loving mother of Jane F. (Sawler) Doyle and mother-in-law to John J. Doyle of East Orleans. Grandmother to Shawn M. Doyle of Centerville, Jodi (Doyle) Smith of Eastham and Kevin Doyle of Harwich. Grandmother-in-law to Susan Madonna of Centerville, Steven Smith of Eastham, and Jennifer Doyle of Harwich. Great-grandmother to the Loves of her life, Madison, Liam, Abigail and Kylie Doyle of Centerville, and Nicholas and Emily Capshew, Jessica and Jacob Smith of Eastham, and Colin and Chloe Doyle of Harwich. Sister of Eva (Nickerson) Thayer and sister-in-law to Robert Thayer of Eastham. Frances was a proud member of the Orleans United Methodist Church. If you were lucky enough to know Frances or more affectionately known as Fuff or GG, you knew a true lady who was devoted to her family and friends. She lived life to its fullest, having many grand adventures and experiences. If we could wish upon a star, We'd send the wish to where you are. Our love to you is what we'd send, my mother, our grandmother our great grandmother and friend. A celebration of Frances' life will be held at her beloved United Methodist Church, Orleans, on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frances' memory can be made to Cora's Cupboard, Orleans United Methodist Church, either with finances or food.
