She was a collector of antiques and contemporary art and ran a gallery in Cambridge with Betsy Van Buren and Jerry Cutting specializing in new contemporary artists. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Berry Brazelton, her children, Catherine Bowles Brazelton, Pauline Battle Brazelton, Christina Lowell Brazelton, Thomas Berry Brazelton III, and her grandchildren. Berry -

I only recently learned of Chrissy's passing. I am so very sorry. She was such a wonderful friend to all of us who passed through the unit and your home. She always expressed such interest and concern about our kids, and we appreciated it greatly.

I hope to be able to make it up to Boston sometime soon. Maybe I can spirit you away for lunch with Mary Anne and me? Have a good Christmas with the family. Best - Alex

What a spirit! What a life! We didn't know one another but I knew of Christina as a legend in the Boston art world, an inspiration.

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I can't imagine the heartache you and your family are feeling. I remember the first time I met Chrissy in your home in Cambridge. She was so gracious and lovely. She made everyone feel like they were each special and important. I will remember her as a woman of great poise, generosity and spirit. She must have had a lot of the latter to keep up with you for 66 years! My prayers and thoughts are with you. I'm sorry I will be unable to attend the service this weekend. You will be on my mind. With much love and a heavy heart, Elisa

Kerith Gardner, Jay Gardner, Andrew Gardner, and their families join Ellen and me in sending our condolences to you, Dr. Berry, and your family. We did not know Chrissy well but it was always a pleasure and a privilege to spend
time with her. I remember vividly a dinner party that she hosted, probably over forty years ago, in honor of the formidable Mexican intellectual, Ivan Illich, There were guests from several different groups in Cambridge and Chrissy made everyone feel at home. And I learned a lesson that I've never forgotten--it's perfectly OK to use different kinds of silverware, in fact it makes both the table and the conversation livelier. Chrissy never stood on ceremony, a wonderful message for all who knew her. Sending our love Howard and all the Gardners
