I knew Mary years ago when my family lived in Easton and on leaving Easton a parting gift was a copy of her "historic buildings in Easton" picture I look at it every day over my fireplace and still love it after all these years . She was a very talented person and will be missed by many.

Farewell Mary. What a wonderful life you have lived, and what a legacy you have left us, not only in your art, but in the fond memories of times shared--always filled with laughter, talk, dancing and wine! :-) I remember our first meeting @30 yrs. ago when a neighbor I was driving stopped in to see you. It was luv at first sight! You had 8 botanicals/stills and you told me to take them home and if one fits for me great. When you called back and asked if I wanted one...I said no--all of them. You let out a laugh and said never had anyone wanted so many. Then there was the commission of Balbionella, Ames estate on Lake Como. What fun we had at our 'unveiling party'. Some time later you said 8 was not enough and gave us a print of the mansion to make it your favorite # 9! We tried to make you a 'real Italian', not just by marriage while tracing your 'roots' to the Fandagos. With all the beauty you have left for the world to enjoy, you will never be forgotten.
God must have plans for your talents...we will watch the clouds for some new touches. God bless your soul Bob & Nancy White

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Bodio family. Growing up across the street from the Bodio's on Marshall Rd, I have many fond memories. Mrs. Bodio passed on her amazing artistic talent to most of her children. It amazed me that as a mother of '9' she had the time and energy not only for all of her kids, but also for her friends and her passion for art! She was a truly talented, gifted artist! Always on the go! I look at my Christmas tree with quite a few ornaments painted by 'Mary Bodio'...of historic Easton treasures. She painted a beautiful watercolor rose for my wedding invitation. What a treasure. I loved my days with the 'twins'... their monkey bars, the pigeon coop with the sign 'Home for Italian Children' hung on the coop. I loved Mrs. Bodio's 'Just 9' license plate! She had a spirit, sense of humor, love of life and most of all...love of her beloved Joe and beautiful family! She had it all! She somehow managed to make time for everyone. She squeezed every bit of life out of every day! Mrs. Bodio put so much of her love of life into her amazing passion for art. That beautiful smile, that infectious laugh and way of talking a 'mile minute' was colorful and vibrant! Just like her!
Unforgettable. She has left quite a legacy. She, like all of her beautiful watercolors with its beautiful colors, is a timeless masterpiece.
How proud you all must feel to have had her as your mom. She'll be greatly missed.

To all the Bodio family, your mom was indeed unique and lovely! And to those friends who loved Mary, here are a few words to describe what comes to mind. Mrs. Bodio (my siblings and I politely called her) was an optimist, warm and inclusive, non-judgemental. She + my mom would talk for hours and Joe would find a newspaper or watch a ballgame to pass the time, as he knew it would be a while.

Mrs Bodio was vibrant and fun and positive. She arrived at my wedding in a red hat, stylish and beautiful inside and out. And at one point she accompanied me on shopping trip to enhance my wardrobe. I knew she had done some modeling ~ Mary sweetly pointied out that I had been wearing clothes, 2 sizes too big, for years!

Parting words: I would like to say that I noticed how Mary loved her children. Much of her kindness and warmth was passed on in the way she nurtured. There is no one quite like Mary, but I imagine if you take a close look, you'll notice glimpses of her in the eyes + spirit of her grand children.

Anita, Matt and Stella and all the Bodio kids and relatives.......
I am so very sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. She was always soiling. A very kind and ell liked and loved by many.
My longest and fondest memory of your Mom was years ago coming in to Holy Cross on Sundays with a lot of children all dressed up so nicely, and in stepping stone order. This was maybe 45+ years ago.
May she rest in heavenly peace.

We always enjoyed Mary's visits to St. Croix when we lived there. We drove her to Mass with us every Sunday at St. Patrick's in Frederiksted. She loved to see the little girls all dressed up. Then we'd meet Mark for brunch at the beach bar. Special memories of a wonderful lady!

There are some very special people in the world, and Mary was one of them.
A loving, caring loyal, friend enjoyed by so many of us because of her exuberant personality and that ever infectious smile!
She shared herself with the world through her incredible artistic abilities and was in inspiration to many.
And as much as we, her friends, will miss her, we know our level of sadness in this loss pales in comparison to what her family is experiencing. She loved you all with every part of her being.
It is with profound sympathy that we write this message to you today. Our deepest condolences.
