Don,Betty,Jimmy and family, Sad to hear about Calvin. He was wonderful to work for, loved to make him laugh, because his laughter was so contagious. He had a fine eye for displays, design, and he made Litchfield the "standard" to which other grower's were trying to reach for decades. He gave me the opportunity to work for Jimmy, who is also amazing, and I have met some life-long friends because of my time at Wilson Farm. Truly sad to hear about Calvin.

My deepest sympathy to the Wilson family at this difficult time. Though I did not know Calvin personally I benefited from his tireless efforts to provide the best produce and other food products to his customers.

Before moving to Arlington 18 years ago, I had been a resident of Manchester, NH for 38 years. During my time in NH I was a grateful customer of the Litchfield farm stand. One of the many pleasures of living in NH was going to Wilson's.

I resigned myself to the thought that my move toArlington
would cost me the pleasure of going to Wilson's farm. I was extatic to learn that my new home was only 2 miles to the farm in Lexington.

Calvin set the gold standard for produce and customer service that no other purveyor has matched. May he rest in peace.

Our family has enjoyed going to the Litchfield location for many years. The Wilson family have brought so much to the area. Lots of fond memories of visiting Kibby the llama, Duke and Doc the horses...and of course the goats and piggy with my daughter when she was young. My dad Oren Stevens, who passed away 4 days before Calvin this year, never missed a weekend drive down for fresh produce. It will be a sad visit our first time down this year for many reasons. Our deepest sympathy to Calvin's family.

My deepest condolences to the Wilson Family. I worked in the flower room and so did not work with Calvin directly but admired and respected his watchful eye as he oversaw the workings of the farmstand. My heart is with you at the passing of your beloved son. I had just entered a message on the Wilson's Farms Facebook page and I saw this on Google. My own daughter Naomi died four years ago at the age of 42, and I know the grief I felt at that time, and still. I started reading Near Death Experiences and the like online and researching them in books, and I found out that there is life after death (I was brought up by atheists) and it has changed my life. May I recommend the last book I read? "Hello from Heaven," by Jim and Judy Guggenheim. It's about After Death Communication. Another suggestion is http://www.nderf.org, which includes over 3,500 Near Death Experiences. I think God would like us all to know the truth of these. Seek and ye shall find. (most folks don't seek.) It doesn't bring back your beloved son, but you can live in the knowledge that you will see him again. When it happens, you will feel it was "soon," even though it does not feel that way now. I'm sorry these are not traditional words for condolences, but you are lovely people, and deserve the love and comfort you so generously give to others.
