Anthony Albert Voner, a resident of Medford for 37 years and beloved husband of Patricia K. "Tricia" (Day) Voner, passed away at the Winchester Hospital in Winchester on Friday, February 19, 2021. He was 69 years old. Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on July 9, 1951, he was the beloved son of the late Joseph T. and Mary (DePasquale) Voner and son-in-law to the late Austin Merritt and Lorraine (Perry) Day. He is survived by his sisters; Anna Colarossi of Wells, Maine and Grace Barchard and her husband Bill Haigh of Estero, Florida, and Thomas Voner of Port Orange, FL. He was also the brother of the late Frank Voner. Besides his beloved wife, Tricia, he is survived by his loving children; Robert D. and his wife Christine Voner of Wilmington, Maria K. Voner and her friend Rob McNeil of Medford, Brenda and her husband Christopher Lucarotti of Tewksbury, Karen Miller and her husband George L. Terrien of Bedford, New Hampshire and William D. "Billy" Miller of Medford. He was the proud Papa of Masen John and Aiden Anthony Voner, Nicholas Anthony Miller and Justyn Austin Lucarotti, Tyler Patrick, Rylei Shea and Emma Day Terrien. He will soon be the proud Great Papa to Myles, son of Justyn Lucarotti and Raelyn Laquidara. Proud Daddy to Lucky Dog and Papa to granddogs Cesar, Dunkin, Kash and Titan. Anthony was also an adopted father to Danielle and her husband Jimmy Mason of Wilmington, Chad and his wife Dawn DeVeau of Billerica and Mike LeBlanc of Wilmington. Adopted Papa to Breanna, Isabella, Amber, James, Kaylee, Marissa and Zilla. Anthony was also a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews and Godfather to Ashley Colarossi, Jacksonville, FL. Anthony moved to 9 Pleasant Road, Wilmington when he was three. He grew up learning masonry from his dad and uncles; he helped his sister and brother-in-law farming in Derry, NH, he worked in the Wilmington School System as a maintenance man. He worked with his cousin running Vons Painting and eventually opened Austin & Voner Painting with his friend Jimmy Austin for many years. He took great pride in his work and took care of his patrons. He had lots of friends, neighbors and family all around. He enjoyed "collecting" many items for future use. He loved puttering around in his workshop, loved spending time with his grandchildren; fishing, doing projects, gardening, swimming in kiddie pools, sacktoss, horseback riding and many other activities. He joined the Golden Rule Masonic Lodge in Wakefield in March 2015 and followed up joining the Fire Brigade Unit for the Aleppo Shriners in April 2015.Anthony was so proud of being a Mason and a Shriner. Anthony so loved every minute of the Masonic and Shriner life and shared his story with all. He shared while collecting for the Shriners Hospital at Kappys at Wellington Circle. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Medford and he was always a very patriotic man. Above all, he was a very devoted husband, father and papa. He will be so dearly missed. Visiting hours will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, from 4 to 8 PM. Anthony's interment will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery, 230 Playstead Road, Medford on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at noon. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Donations in Anthonys memory may be made to the First Baptist Church, 34 Oakland Street, Medford, MA 02155 or to The Shriners Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114.
