Patricia Valentino Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 29 to Feb. 4, 2021.
Patricia L. Valentino (McDonald) a resident of Billerica, formerly of Wilmington, MA and a winter resident of sunny Naples, Florida where she said the stork should have left her in the first place; passed away suddenly on January 2, 2021, age 76.
Patricia known as Pat by her friends and family, was born in Somerville, MA the daughter of the late Maurice and Lillian (Lucy) McDonald of Lexington, MA. She married her high school love Joe Valentino with whom she recently celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary.
Pat was the beloved wife of Joseph Valentino and loving mother of Holly Valentino Barry and her husband Brian and the late Joey Valentino and his wife Kathy. Adoring and Adventurous Grandmother of Hannah and Nicole Barry of Billerica, MA.
For Pat, family was always first. She took care of those she loved and went out of her way to make them feel special. Pat was intentional in her acts of kindness to others; taking the time to understand what was important and appreciated by those she touched. She lived each day as an adventure, generous, kind, free spirited, full of whimsy and never afraid to speak her mind and stand behind her beliefs. Pat always had fun with boundless energy for shopping, cooking, nature and taking on science experiments and art projects with her granddaughters. She had a passion for second-hand treasures with an eye for eclectic jewelry and art with an open heart to all those she met along the way. She loved the beach and her boat days with family soaking up the sun and salt air. Pat found peace and looked forward to welcoming the day with the morning Florida sun, sipping her coffee, watching the birds and sea creatures on the canal outside of her Florida home. Daughter-in-law of the late Dominic and Angelina Valentino. One of nine McDonald Children; Kathy (Martin) Glynn, Maurice (Jai) McDonald, Sheila (Paul) Coleman, Ruth (Bill) Shannon, Maureen (Tom) Walsh, Eileen Wills, Margaret (Bob) Sargent, Owen (Kim) McDonald. Sister-in-Law of Ralph (Mary) Valentino, Karen (David) McHardy and the late Angela Valentino and Jack Valentino. Special Auntie to many nieces and nephews and their respective spouses. In light of current situation and in the interest of health and safety of those she loved, we will celebrate Pat when it is safer to do so together.
